REGIONAL ADVISORY COUNCILS (RACs)
The function of a RAC is to be available to consult with the GOSAC and with Participating Local Governments to best determine how funds will be spent for opioid remediation and/or abatement within the established Regions. Each RAC will be comprised by Participating Local Governments for each region with 3-7 members. Each RAC must have one member from the county board of health; one member who is an executive team member of a Community Service Board; and a Sheriff (or representative designated by the sheriff) located in the region. If a Region has more than 3 members, the Georgia MOU contains recommended qualifications for the remaining members.
